Notre-Dame de Paris(Our Lady of Paris), which is also referred as Notre-Dame, is an 850-year old medieval French Catholic cathedral(Church) in Paris, France that caught fire at 6:20 p.m. local time on Monday. 400 firefighters were deployed to the scene to save Notre-Dame’s priceless artefacts, relics, artwork, its irreplaceable rose windows, wooden structure and many other things.

“The worst has been avoided. The façade and the two main towers did not collapse,” said Emmanuel Macron, French President.

“The walls have been preserved and at least 30 per cent of the artworks have been saved” said The French Interior Ministry on Tuesday.

The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed and neither how much damage the church has suffered. One can understand how much this world’s heritage means to people when you learn that the crowdfunding efforts to rebuild Notre Dame has hit the mark of $1 Billion. Moreover, more than 50 crowdfunding campaigns have been launched on the Go Fund Me crowdsourcing platform, United States, to restore the must-see destination, Notre-Dame cathedral, for visitors to Paris from all over the world.

“Notre-Dame is obviously an architectural marvel and most certainly a monument that should be restored,” said Jennifer Herlein, the executive director of The French Heritage Society, which is an American non-profit group that works towards preserving French architectural and cultural treasures.

If you wish to donate for the same cause, you can do so through several online crowdfunding campaigns or on the ongoing campaign with the name, “Reconstruction of Notre Dame Cathedral.”

The tiny furry bundle was spotted in the distance and eventually adopted by the pilots. The cub got his name after Mansur, which means “a bear” in Altai, a Turkic language.

Do you ask what’s the hype all about? Look at him, man. Ain’t he adorable?

Today, his Instagram account has more than 11k followers. Dare not ask mine. It is a pathetic number. Well, It’s time for us to break the internet by showering our love on his YouTube channel.

Now, when you are engrossed enough by his cuteness it is time for us to help our guy, Mansur.

It has been three years and Mansur has piled on the weight. His daily food requirements are seeing rapid growth, so much so that a crowdfunding campaign has been launched. Yes, to help feed the bear.

Mansur was moved to a bigger enclosure in a decommissioned airbase in Oreshkovo as he started to grow and the airfield and its facilities proved too small for him.

The group behind the crowdfunding campaign estimates that Mansur will need over 30,000 roubles (NZ$666) monthly for staff costs, food and maintenance of his special enclosure. That is around 32,529.47 Indian Rupee as of now. Chuckles, Mansur.

This is what Yelena Inozharskaya from the crowdfunding company DonationAlerts told the BBC

Inozharskaya says, “Usually our clients blog about playing computer games, cooking, drawing, dancing or travelling. It’s hard to find anything that hasn’t been streamed yet, but we’re ready to help a bear earn some money.”

Krishna’s friend Srujith told ANI that the incident occurred around 11.30 pm (US time) when Krishna was returning from work.

Srujith said, “The robbers first stopped and barged in his car and made him drive to an isolated place and robbed his car, wallet and other belongings and left him on an empty street in freezing temperature.”

He further added, “Someone passing by saw him on the road and informed the authorities. An ambulance reached the spot and took Sai Krishna to the hospital.”

Keeping in mind that Srujith said Krishna are very underprivileged who have struggled a lot to move to the United States for a better future, it is time that we do our bit to support Krishna.

Srujith and a few other friends of Krishna have launched Support Sai Krishna, an emergency crowdfunding campaign on GoFundMe to cover hospital expenses. The response has been phenomenal with 280,167 dollars been already pledged and has overshot the target that was set to 250,000 dollars. Let’s take care of his rehabilitation expenses and monthly expenses as he probably might not be able to work for at least 6 months to one year.

Last year too a campaign similar to this was launched to raise funds and bring the body back to India of a 26,year-old techie from Hyderabad who was shot dead inside Kansas restaurant by some unidentified gunmen.

Rather making it a matter of discussion or labelling it as a “hate crime or not” let us focus on helping the one in need. Let’s show the non-believers that humanity exists and thrives.
